How to communicate with a student grouping

If you publish an item in the News forum, all users (students and teachers) see this information and receive an email in their inbox.

If you want to restrict this communication to a specific grouping (set of groups), follow these instructions:

  • Create a Forum activity, clicking on Add an activity or resource button.
  • Fill the forum Name and at Common module settings, select at Group mode -> Separate groups and at Grouping select the specific grouping. Click on Add group/grouping access restriction button.

  • Dropdown the Restrict access, click on the eye and save changes.
