CEFR Online Workshop Series 2022 (in English or French, without interpretation) / Série d’ateliers en ligne du CECR 2022 (en anglais ou en français, sans interprétation)
Following the publication of the CEFR Companion Volume, the Council of Europe’s Education Department organised monthly Webinars in 2021 to help language professionals familiarise themselves with the key concepts of the CEFR and consider ways for integrating those into teaching and learning practices. Key concepts covered were action-oriented approach, digital agency in social practice and language education, plurilingualism in the classroom and engaging learners’ plurilingual and pluricultural competence, as well as mediation in relation to sign languages.

Council of Europe videoconference
The Council of Europe announces a videoconference on “The CEFR Companion Volume: A Key Resource for Inclusive Plurilingual Education” to take place next Wednesday, 16 December 2020, from 3:00 to 6:00 pm (CET). It will present the CEFR Companion Volume which was published in April 2020 and the key concepts elaborated on or introduced in this updated version of the CEFR such as mediation, online communication and plurilingual and pluricultural competence – aspects that are relevant for our work in University Language Centres.
If you are unable to attend on Wednesday, you will also have the opportunity to take part in a chat-moderated broadcasting of the videoconference on Thursday, 17 December 2020, from to 9:00 am to noon (CET).
