Research Area

Syntax; morphology; negation phenomena in natural languages (negative concord, double negation); answering systems; the design of language.

Doctoral Supervision

I would be happy to supervise students interested in (i) the syntax and morphology of negative quantifiers, negative polarity items, minimizers in English and other languages, (ii) the syntax of question tags in English, (iii) dialectal variation in English from a syntactic point of view, and (iv) answering systems across languages from a contrastive point of view. I am also open to supervise other topics in contrastive linguistics that include English as one of the languages under study.
